MUNDELEIN, IL (March 9, 2012) – Utopia, Inc., a leading provider of data lifecycle management solutions, announced the launch of an upgrade service for SAP NetWeaver® Business Warehouse (SAP NetWeaver BW). This is the first in a suite of four data services to be delivered by Utopia to support and enhance the SAP HANA platform (SAP HANA). SAP describes HANA (High-Performance Analytical Appliance) as a combination of in-memory software and leading SAP partner hardware that can help query multiple types of data sources at speeds and volumes like never before.

The upgrade service assesses a client’s SAP NetWeaver BW readiness state and upgrade path and complexity. It includes both a hardware evaluation and an SAP BASIS configuration. It identifies an upgrade path to SAP NetWeaver BW 7.3, SPS06, which is a pre-requisite to migrate from SAP NetWeaver BW to BW for HANA.

Utopia will launch three additional services in support of SAP HANA® in the coming months and will support the launches through a major commitment of resources. Plans are in place to certify 20 teams of Utopia employees on SAP HANA® by the end of 2012.
