SAP to resell Utopia’s MDG for EAM™ solution as SAP® Master Data Governance, enterprise asset management extension by Utopia, to address sustainability and governance of asset data in asset-heavy industries
MUNDELEIN, IL (Nov. 10, 2014) –Utopia Global, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise data solutions and a long-time SAP partner, announced the signing of a global reseller agreement with SAP (NYSE: SAP). As part of the agreement, SAP will re-sell Utopia’s Master Data Governance for Enterprise Asset Management™ (Utopia MDG for EAM™) solution under the name SAP® Master Data Governance application, enterprise asset management extension by Utopia. This will enable SAP to help its customers better manage their mission-critical plant maintenance and supply chain master data, which can lead to improved maintenance planning, increased regulatory compliance and supply-chain efficiency.
Utopia’s MDG for EAM solution provides a governance platform for master data objects specific to enterprise asset data, such as equipment master or functional locations; further objects like maintenance bills of materials, maintenance plans, task lists and work centers are planned. The solution integrates with the SAP ERP and SAP Master Data Governance applications and complements existing data models for material, supplier, customer and finance. Utopia’s MDG for EAM offering has been developed in the ABAP® programming language and is designed consistent with SAP’s architectural guidelines for managing master data, thereby offering integration with SAP ERP.
