Utopia Global expands its retail master data portfolio for SAP® software by adding fashion management to its existing capabilities for merchandising.
MUNDELEIN, IL (September 29, 2016) – Utopia Global, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise data solutions and a long-time SAP partner, has released the latest version of Utopia’s MDG for RFM™ solution. The solution is resold by SAP as the SAP® Master Data Governance, retail and fashion management extension by Utopia.
With this new functionality, Utopia has doubled the governance capability of the software, which is now able to sort the characteristics of each article by store or distribution center. Additionally, the software features embedded purchase information records so that retailers know where each article has been bought, what it cost and the anticipated delivery times by each vendor from whom they purchase products. This release also comes with increased search capabilities with the SAP HANA® platform and supports freeform characteristics.
“We are very happy to have been able to expand our capabilities to serve the fashion industry and those customers running SAP Fashion Management who also require a strong governance of the article master,” noted Arvind Singh, CEO of Utopia Global Inc.
“The SAP Master Data Governance for retail and fashion management extension by Utopia is a significant component of the end-state architecture for SAP retail solutions, including SAP S/4HANA,” said Dr. Thomas Vetter, senior vice president and global head of Product Management and Development, Consumer Industries, SAP SE. “With the 8.0 release of the solution extension by Utopia, we are excited that customers using SAP Fashion Management can now take advantage of its enhanced functionality and expanded scope. The extension is also designed to help provide an important bridge to SAP S/4HANA with a focus on clean, governed and centralized master data, including the article master at the heart of the retailer’s business.”
