Subramaniyan was most recently the Vice President of a US based software company, Aremissoft. He was responsible for setting up a software development center and managing emerging market operations. He led operations for onsite teams in Europe and offshore teams in India.
Subramaniyan is a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in leading teams of up to 180 employees in varied industry segments. He founded Blueshift Inc., a successful US based software company with front-end sales and marketing in the US, and back-end operations in India. Subramaniyan also founded an internet consulting firm that was eventually acquired by a NASDAQ listed software major.
Earlier, Subramaniyan worked in Dubai, UAE with one of the largest corporate groups, Al Futtaim. Under his leadership, sales in the group's automotive sector grew 400% within four years. He relocated to India in 1993 as the CEO of Denmur Fax Roll Ltd., a joint venture with an Australian firm to produce thermally coated sensitive paper. He managed a $7 million investment to ensure successful transfer of technology and set up of infrastructure and operations in India.
Subramaniyan has a BS in Engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Trichy, and an MBA from XLRI in India. He speaks fluent Hindi and Tamil.
