Managing Director - Southeast Europe and Middle East
Hani Obeid is the Managing Director for Southeast Europe and Middle East markets. Obeid has over 17 years experience of working in technology, management consulting, and strategic advisory roles both in the Middle East and Americas.
Obeid began his career as a senior management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. moving on to be a senior solutions program manager for GE Information Services (GEIS), a global B2B e-commerce company and then holding director positions for the UAE Federal Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and Tejari.com, the first Middle East online trading e-marketplace where as the director of consulting developed and led various client engagements to assist procurement professionals in carrying out vendor assessments, spend analysis, strategic sourcing, data / inventory cleansing and catalogue management, to name a few.
Obeid has a deep understanding of the enterprise data lifecycle management (EDLM) business from working with clients needing relevant, timely and comprehensive data. He has been involved with projects requiring data mapping, business process improvements, data governance, “as-is” scenarios, and implementation of best practices.
Among his many achievements, from 2008-2010 he was the CEO of a Dubai-based investments house, which has operations across four continents with a diversified portfolio spanning infrastructure development, financial services, and niche industries with emerging opportunities worth over $1B USD.
Obeid has led several simultaneous eBusiness ICT projects between the Middle East and Americas markets. Obeid’s experience stretches across the industries of automotive, transportation, retail, energy, oil & gas, health, financial services, manufacturing, government, and aviation.
Obeid has a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Oregon State University (OSU) and an MBA in International Trade and Governance from the University of Ottawa; is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) from the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CAMC) and a member of The Institute of Management Consultants and Trainers in Jordan; holds a Six Sigma Green Belt from the General Electric Company quality discipline.
